When one is successful, the whole world wants a little bit
of you. But love, it is such a potent drug that when one loves, the whole world
gives a little bit of them to you.
There is rather a sparse line between a fan who fancies
you for your work, and an aficionado who adores you for your sensibilities. And
it is here that I am most reminded of the words of Albert Einstein, “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become
a man of value.” As destiny would have it,
Sushant has managed to garner great patronage on both sides, and it is indeed a
feat so rare that only the genuine ones are able to accomplish such, which further
goes on to reinforce the belief that the public can, and do, appreciate true character,
and when they sense and feel that resonance, then there is no stopping them
from loving you from the core of their being.
My Sushant knows that no matter how cutting-edge the world
becomes, the three things that scarcely go out of style are –
Manners
Humility
Love
And considering that he contains those qualities in profusion,
it is undeniably this prudence that discerns him from the rest.
Yes, you love him, and he loves you with equal passion too,
and that is because he knows it is a given that when life itself is perishable,
everything else is unnecessary, and what triumphs at the end of the day is the
love you give and the love you receive.
Everyone has time, but it is effort that matters, and I
would like to thank everyone who made an effort to wish Sushant yesterday for
his birthday.
A younger one in the family is not just a sibling but more
of a child, and what I feel as an elder brother for my little brother is
something I may not be able to express verbally to him as much as I want to, yet,
no matter how big he becomes; in age or in stature, for me, he will for ever remain
my little one, and my eyes will turn moist and my chest will swell with pride whenever
I observe the love that the world rains on him. So as repetitive as this may
sound, I would like to thank each one of you once again for your time, effort
and most importantly the love you shower on him.
In a nutshell, my dear people: work hard
and be you. Think deep, dream big, spread your wings and fly.
