Tuesday, March 1st, 2016, was my buddy Dominic Rains birthday.
He left us all a thank you note. Sharing his light with the world.
“Just want to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation
for all the love that I’ve received on this day. To say I’m blessed is an
understatement. You have all touched my life and I’m grateful to share this day
with you all. The past year has been such a triumphant year for my spirit. My
heart has expanded incredibly, and in some amazing way I’ve learned to love
myself more, which in turn has allowed me to love others more. I believe in the
power of choice more now then I ever have. Not just to choose where I want to
eat, go, who to be friends with per se, but where I want to live within the
recesses of my mind that has ultimately changed my outlook on life. Sometimes
the battle is rigorous and most challenging, and sometimes the wind blows and
the trees bend and it’s as simple as that. Fluidity. That’s what I strive for.
Compassion, that’s what keeps me young. Love, it’s where I came from and where
I will go back to, and keeps me smiling and laughing. Kindness, it can soften
the most hardened heart. Challenges, my life force and too much fun to pass up.
Knowledge, keeps me healthy, and is quite the immune booster. My brother Ethan
Rains, the calm to my storm, the Yin to my Yang, my partner in fun crimes, the
greatest gift I was ever given. Luckiest brother on earth! Nargess Majedi, my
life force, the feminine, teacher of my divine, you have defined empathy and
compassion to me, if I am anything worthy of a man it is because of you, momma.
Hamid Nazemzadeh, my crème-de-la-crème of passion, my artistic adventurer, my
confidant and advisor, protector, the fearless, poppa. You three have taught me
love. Grand Creator, Mother Earth, Water, Wind, Fire. Life Force, Spirit. I am
humbled. I express gratitude.
Love be to you all and thank you from the bottom of my
heart.”
